Don't go to battle unless you are ready for war!
It is better to do something than nothing at all, but if your going to do something why not give it your all. Some may be thinking what is the difference between a battle and a war. The difference in my definition is that a battle is a singular event while a war is made up of multiple battles. There are three things that I take from this Doddsism, 1) if your going to do something why not give it your all, 2) when you start something always be prepared for what could possibly happen because of that action, and 3) just because you lose a battle doesn't mean the war is over. In this post I am only going to focus on the first one. Most people don't realize that no action is action. Meaning that by not making a decision you are actually making a decision. I believe that in most cases it is better to act than to do nothing, but if you are going to act why not give it your all.
There are times when people have had great ideas that have failed when they tried to execute them. They didn't fail because the idea wasn't good but because they never fully committed to that idea. Relationships can be the same way. You can have fun for a while with someone but if you never fully commit then that relationship may never reach its full potential. There comes a point in plans where acting is not enough. If there is something that you care about or a dream you want to achieve give it your all. If your going to do it then do it right. Sometimes being on the fence about a project or idea can cost you that idea along with time and money you spent while on the fence. If you have a dream or an idea that you are working to achieve, go to war for it. You may lose a couple battles but in the end you could when the war. Victory is at hand. Don't give up, you can do it!
